AS Andmevara has signed a letter of intent with the representatives of the local governments of Almelo, Emmen, Hollands Kroon, Lingewaard and Molenwaard in The Netherlands that would like to start testing and implementing Andmevara’s information system VOLIS.
According to the CEO of AS Andmevara Andrus Kõre, negotiations are being held with three more local governments. In addition, the Dutch partners wish to order the development work, which will make the system more correspondent to their needs. Functionalities that need to be adjusted include logging in and address look-up. In Estonia, logging in with an ID-card or Mobile-ID is implemented, and function of looking up addresses from the Population Register is enabled. In the Netherlands other available solutions for these functionalities will need to be implemented.
VOLIS is the abbreviation of the council's information system, which was originally intended for all Estonian municipalities to carry out council sessions. The functionality of the system has been updated several times with additional modules. For example, all of the recent polls for the municipal amalgamations and mergers have been carried out using VOLIS functionality. AS Andmevara’s Dutch partners are especially interested in the opportunity to involve residents in the workings of local governments through the information system.
AS Andmevara is an IT services company, which offers wide range of services ranging from customer support to software developing and from digitization to hosting services.
